Program Results

    • As of 10/30/2012 the Investigation Phase of 379 state owned building at fourty four sites comprising 17,827,521 square feet was complete.
    • Energy Investigation Reports for all fourty four sites (all completed using ARRA funding) have been issued.
    • 526 state owned buildings totaling 13,596,327 square feet were determined not to be good candidates for cost effective recommissioning/retrofit projects in the initial Screening Phase. These buildings average 25.000 square feet in size.
    • As of 10/31/2012, 386 state owned buildings comprising 17,827,521 square feet are now in or ready for the Implementation Phase. Implementation expenses to date are $2,043,912.
    • As of 10/31/2012 there are seven buildings with 1,280,000 swuare feet in the Measurement and Verification Phase.
    • Energy Cost and Savings - PBEEEP has identified over $1.5 million dollars in Energy Savings, including 18 million KW hours and over 750,000 therms.
  • Implementation Phase

Screening had been performed at over 900 buildings at 67 sites throughout Minnesota that had elected to participate in PBEEEP. From this, 379 proceeded into the Investigation Phase and are now into the third phase of PBEEEP, wich is Implementation. Currently, 39 of these project sites in the program have qualified with substantial savings and have completed some part of the Implementation Phase.
  • PBEEEP Status Report (12-11-2012)

A Status Report showing the agencies participating in PBEEEP including a SkyView© map of their locations throughout the state is now available.
  • Track your Energy Savings

State Agencies can prepare for PBEEEP by entering utility usage data into the Minnesota Benchmarking and Beyond (B3) tool for their sites. Having data populated in the B3 system will aid in streamlining the project process and facilitate long-term energy performance tracking. Contact The Weidt Group for additional information and assistance entering data.
PBEEEP was made possible with funding from the U.S. Department Of Energy and the Minnesota Department Of Commerce, Division Of Energy Resources.
